Guitar Lessions

No, Miss Naomi was not taking guitar lessions and would not smile until after the picture.
Ezra is giving some of the children hair cuts. The boy in the back ground is attempting to cut his own hair!
Tein looks like a pro.
Pang was doing very well, catching on quickly.

Just playing around and teaching some of the children chords on the guitar. They were really in to this.

Spending Time with the Children

It was lunch time. Some of the children go to school in the morning and the rest go in the afternoon.
They love to have their pictures taken. The peace sign is just something that they do. From left to right beginning in the back are Socheata, Hannah, Sreilam, Sina, then Joy,Sokleng, Saren and standing is Sreilin.

This was yesterday, I just went out to the children's home and spent time with some of the girls and took coloring books and paper. They love to draw the pictures they look at in the books and are very good at it.

Clinic at The PCL Childrens Home

It was also community day and the local children come and have lunch with the orphans that live here.
Curious children gather around.

This was the second clinic here and the amount of people doubled from last week.

New Hope

We are now teaching in the Takam Village and the children and some adults are happy to have us come and teach them. They are learning the English language in different forms. They learned new words today through speaking, writing and singing. It was fun for them and for us.

Hope Where There is No Hope

This house was not any bigger than most of your bathrooms.

This is a young widow we heard about and met today. As you can see her tiny hut is falling down around her and she has no where to go. She will be getting a new house built within the next month by PCL. So to those of you that support the ministry here you can see that your money is being well spent to help those that are truly in need.

Beauty and the Beast

This is a beautiful flowering tree here in Cambodia, very brilliant reddesh orange color.
These beasts were pretending to be dead or asleep but they were not! They were in like a holding area in the tourist boat ont the lake.

These two beautiful children belong to Naroth who was with us on the boat. Naroth works for PCL.

More scenes from the lake and other areas.

Tonle Sap

These are our new friends the interns from Lee University seeing the Tonle Sap for the first time. They will be working here with PCL for the next ten weeks as volunteers.

A small small part of the floating city.
This little boy is one of Jane's students, he is five years old and very bright she tells me. He looks like a three year old because they do not get the proper nourishment. He was in deep thought.

Family living on the Tonle Sap. A way of life.

This was when we took the interns to the lake today.

Prasat Bachum Village

This the pastor of the village singing with the children and Julie before we gave out the filters.

This was a new village we went to today and gave out water filters. There are missionaries that have been working in this village for a month and they are planning to build a school there.

First English Class in Takam Village

We had about 50 students today.
Some were having trouble saying goodmorning or the last half of the word.

This is Julie and Sen teaching and I was filming and will be helping teach.

On the Road Again

These are giant crocodiles on this truck being transported from the Crocodile Zoo to where I do not know, maybe one of the food places? Yum! I was on the back of a motorcyle going to visit someone sick. It is amazing what you see on the roads here.

The Chicken Farm

Soo is on the right in red and Akum in on the left in front.

My friend Soo and his coworker are helping a village start a chicken farm. Soo is paying for everything to get it going.

Clinic at The PCL Childrens Home

This young boy had a cut on the lower back of his leg and a problem with his foot.

Here I was triaging this woman.
Here Ezra on the left, my interpreter is passing on the medication given.

This was my first clinic at the children's home and it kept me busy for three hours 35 people.

Clean Water

It is also good for bathing.

It tastes good!

We took waterfilters to 20 families in the Takam Village and just had a well drilled by the widow's house. Three families will share a well. This is a small portion of the work that is being done with donation's from people everywhere. This will save lives and reduce sickness in the village people.

Beauty

They have some beautiful flowers here.
